There is “no evidence” that the missile that landed in Poland on Tuesday was an “intentional attack” on the country, according to Polish President Andrzej Duda.
“There is no evidence that this was a planned strike against Poland.” It was most certainly a Russian-made S-300 missile. We currently have no proof that it was a Russian-launched missile. On Wednesday, he tweeted.
He went on to say that there were “many indicators” that it was a Ukrainian air defense missile that “sadly landed on Polish soil.”
The landing of a missile in eastern Poland near the Ukrainian border marks the first direct attack on a NATO country during the conflict. It is unknown who launched the missile or where it was launched from, while preliminary US assessments indicate it originated in Ukraine.
